Caversham Wildlife Park

So on Friday Feb. 15 the International Team at Murdoch took any international students (and Brian) who paid $10 on a coach bus [4 buses in total] to Caversham Wildlife park! All I can tell you was that it was about an hour north of Murdoch Uni (which is south of  the swan river) and North of Perth City Center (north of the swan river). It was an amazing facility. I just wish the birds had more enrichment! They all looked too bored and were scratching and pacing. It was also 103degrees F (39-40 C).

About Caversham:
 - Family owned and operated
 - 200 species represented
 - Is officially recognized by Australian Zoos, has bred its own wombats, koalas, and cassowaries
 - The park has 6 sections:
       > North East Australia [tropical]
       >South West Australia [including Perth]
       > North Australia [most arid region]
       > South East Australia [ represents coastal, forest, and mountainous regions]
       > Kangaroo Enclosure
       >Molly's Farm

the Possums were soooooo cute - especially the bushy tailed ones!! :D

The Wombat flipped around just for me so I could take a picture of his sweet face!
